Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool (October 22nd 2022)

October 22nd, 2022

Can the strong run off form continue?

Before the game

News of another injury after the win against West Ham, the goal scorer Nunez is going to be missing for the next game. We start without a recognized striker. Also missing Thiago. Much changed midfield and front line. Maybe we're prioritizing Champions league over the league, given that we seem to be out contention for the title already.

During the game

Forest basically parked the bus from the beginning. Liverpool having a really hard time breaking down teams when they play like this.

Could see the goal coming. Poor defending and sloppy passing, gave Forest hope of goal on the break.

After a couple of great performances, almost expected this, with so many games so close to together, but this schedule will continue until the World Cup break.

The best chances Liverpool have had seem to be from set pieces, if they level up, it'll probably be from a corner.

Don't understand the thinking sometimes. You're surrounded by 3 opposition players, and you're going to try and play it out in your own half? Can you not clear the ball?!?

Twice now VVD passes the ball across the goal, instead of trying to score. I understand that you're not a striker, but heck we don't have any strikers on the pitch, get a shot on target!

Great save from Dean Henderson, if Forest get the win, they deserve it on the back of this performance but Liverpool have been very poor in the final 3rd.

Salah has been totally absent in this game. I feel like the knock he took early, he would have gone off if we had anyone on the bench to take his place.

Forest get the win and they do deserve it.

After the game

Really gutted that we lost, even with all the injuries we created enough chances to get something out of the game, but it was not our day. As players start to come back from injuries we should start to improve, and more importantly be consistent.
