It’s no secret that I’m a fan of the Laravel PHP framework.
I don’t remember exactly when I started using it, but it’s been over 10 years and it’s been preferred backend development framework for as long as I can remember.
More than just the framework, the entire ecosystem that Taylor Otwell has been able to grow is simply amazing. It’s a big reason I’ve been able to be as productive as I have been with my projects.
I’ve been wanting to build a resource for the community, my way of giving back in a small way.
Recently I was looking for some videos from a past Laracon, and realized how difficult it was to find some really awesome talks that have been given over the years.
Laracon have been happening each year in: US, EU, AU, IN and Online. This has generated a vast amount of amazing content. Most recordings of the talks have been posted to YouTube but finding the one you're looking for can be a hard.
I decided to build a website to solve that problem.
Still very much a work in progress, but I’ve collected over 300 videos that were posted on YouTube from the various Laracon, which have been going on since 2013.
I’m using AI to generate a summary and pull key highlights from the videos, and will work thru the full list over time.
I’m also planning on going thru all the videos and categorizing them based on their topics, etc.
But for now you can do a simple search on the speaker and title & the AI generated summary/descriptions.
Hope you check out the website, and please let me know if you have any suggestions.
